CF-GVC is a Stinson 108, Serial #594 and manufactured September 4, 1946.

I have a copy of the application for the C of A and the registration of this aircraft as well as the bill of sale from Consolidated Vultee Aircraft Corporation to American Aviation Corporation, Minneapolis, in the amount of $5,270.00. This has been acknowledged by “Estelle Stinson” Notary.

Stinson 108

On September 6, 1946 CF-GVC was sold to Lorin E. Ovemeland in Bismarck, ND. I have all the log books for this aircraft, the owners were in Bismarck, Jamestown, and Washburn, ND until September 25, 1973 when #594 was imported into Canada. It went to Boissevain, Russel, Regina, Brandon, and Virden (an accident at Boissevain damaged the left main gear) and then we meet April 8, 1992 at Maple Leaf Aviation in Brandon, MB.

To make a long story short, a complete disassemble and rebuild of the airframe and engine, brakes, radios and mags (bottom end of engine zero time in May 2004 at Aero Recip) - on condition June 2005.

The Stinson 108 is a direct descendent of the L15 in WWII.

I have the original “Owners Operating Manual” now called the P.O.H.
