In 2003 I flew to Edmonton, AB to have the plane refinished in the original colors and paint scheme. This year I replaced the original Cessna 300 Navcom with 2 Val 760 channel com radios and a Lowrance 500 Airmap GPS. The other avionics include a KA134 audio panel and a KT78 transponder with a blind encoder.
This summer I retired from MTS and decided to go on a flying vacation. My route took me to Clinton, IA and Boulder, CO.This was my longest cross country to date, 2,430 statute miles, 28.6 hours air time and 30.4 hours flight time. Truly a fine vacation. My next maintenance project is to major the engine, however it is still running strong with 300 hours since an extensive top overhaul. I look forward to many more years of pleasure flying.
